Hermann Goetz (1840–1876) was a German composer, pianist, and organist, highly regarded for his technical mastery and lyrical style. Born in Königsberg, Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia), he spent significant periods of his career in Switzerland, especially in Winterthur and Zurich. Despite a tragically short life—he died at only 35, likely from tuberculosis—Goetz left a substantial mark with a refined compositional voice.
