Eunike Tanzil Eunike Tanzil, a talented pianist, has released her EP, Till Next Christmas.
On this release, she presents her own work, Till Next Christmas, in two versions: as a solo piano piece and in a version for piano and strings, realized with the support of Scoring Berlin. Tanzil explains that she tries to spend Christmas with her family every year. During their annual farewell, they say "See you next Christmas"—always aware that it might be the last time they see each other that year. These feelings of farewell and hope for another reunion are reflected in the composition. In addition to these tracks, the EP also includes two interpretations of Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, one as a solo piece and the other as an arrangement for piano and strings, also in collaboration with Scoring Berlin. Tanzil reports that this piece is one of her favorite Christmas melodies, and she decided to rearrange it to express her appreciation for Ryuichi Sakamoto, whose music has profoundly inspired her.
