Tirana-born singer Elina Duni releases her most personal work to date with "Partir." Recorded entirely solo, the album showcases her versatility as a musician on piano, guitar, and frame drum, interpreting pieces from diverse cultural origins. The song selection ranges from traditional music from Albania, Kosovo, Armenia, Macedonia, Switzerland, and the Arab-influenced region of Andalusia to works by singer-songwriters such as Jacques Brel ("Je ne sais pas"), Alain Oulman ("Meu Amor"), and Domenico Modugno ("Amara Terra Mia"). Original compositions like "Let Us Dive In" are also included. With her expressive voice and deliberately understated arrangements, Duni creates a recurring theme of longing that runs through all the tracks. "Partir" was produced in July 2017 at La Buissone Studios in southern France by Manfred Eicher.
