Julius Asal
German pianist Julius Asal recently released his debut album, "Scriabin – Scarlatti," on Deutsche Grammophon. For this debut, he brings together works by two composers rarely heard together, creating a sonic meditation where boundaries between eras and moods blur. Asal recorded the innovative program on two different Steinway grand pianos, producing both a dark, rich sound and a transparent, crisp tone. The album includes Scriabin's first piano sonata, selected preludes and études, and six piano sonatas by Scarlatti.[1][5]
