The Belgian violinist of Russian-Ukrainian descent, who received his first violin lessons from his grandfather at the age of five, captivated audiences at the Verbier Festival in the summer of 2021 with two memorable performances. First, he presented a virtuosic interpretation of the technically demanding Ysaÿe Sonatas Nos. 5 and 6. This was followed by an impressive rendition of Ysaÿe's Violin Concerto in E minor, accompanied by the VF Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Gábor Takács-Nagy. These exceptional musical moments now form the centerpiece of the VF Gold release 'Marc Bouchkov in Verbier'.
