With the release of the second vinyl edition of “XII,” Deutsche Grammophon further expands its commitment to contemporary repertoire. The works presented stand out from the multitude of monthly new releases due to their originality and are finding their place on important streaming playlists. The participating composers represent the great stylistic diversity of modern classical music and transcend traditional genre boundaries. The 2020 vinyl edition of “XII” features, among others, fascinating compositions such as “Influences” by Gavin Luke, “And Forever” by Angus MacRae, “Falling Colour” by Vanbur, and a piece by Brambles that combines Moog synthesizer and gentle piano. Elena Kats-Chernin, Leon Weber, Vivian Roost, Minihi, Rossano Snel, Jon Obstad, Sergio Díaz de Rojas, and Christina Vantzou also contribute to the creative diversity of this project.
