Paisiello: Nina – an Introduction

This film opens a window onto Zurich Opera's 2002 staging of Paisiello's Nina, a work whose mix of charm and emotional candour once captivated Europe. Ádám Fischer, Cesare Lievi and Roberto De Simone join members of the cast — including Cecilia Bartoli and a young Jonas Kaufmann — to reflect on Paisiello's style and the rehearsal process, while backstage footage and musical excerpts trace how the production took shape.
