The Resurgence of Eighteen Liturgical Psalms
Eighteen Liturgical Psalms was first published in Berlin in 1879. The work fell into obscurity during and after the Holocaust but was rediscovered and revived in the 1990s, thanks in large part to Professor Andor Izsák. Izsák edited the pieces from original manuscripts and led a world premiere recording with the Hungarian Radio Choir, using the spacious acoustics of Hungarian Radio’s Studio 6, Budapest, to give new life to a lost tradition.
