Anne-Sophie Mutter's Today sees the release of a newly remixed version of Anne-Sophie Mutter's famous Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, which she recorded in 1988 with Herbert von Karajan and the Vienna Philharmonic, in Dolby Atmos®. Rainer Maillard has sonically remastered this version at the renowned Emil Berliner Studios, enabling an immersive Dolby Atmos® experience through both surround sound systems and stereo headphones. Maillard explains how Deutsche Grammophon laid the foundations for today's 3D soundscape with four-channel recordings as early as the 1970s. These technological advancements ultimately led to the creation of modern Dolby Atmos® audio streams, which offer an extraordinary spatial music experience.
The new edition is available now on Apple Music, TIDAL HiFi Plus, and Amazon Music Unlimited.
