Joe Hisaishi
The renowned Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi releases his first album with Deutsche Grammophon, titled "A Symphonic Celebration." His music, inextricably linked to the enchanting animated films of director Hayao Miyazaki, has become synonymous with the magical world of Studio Ghibli. For this release, Hisaishi has created an exciting series of symphonic arrangements of his original scores for Ghibli classics such as "Spirited Away," "Princess Mononoke," and "My Neighbor Totoro." The recordings were made in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the composer himself. This extraordinary project also features renowned artists such as Grace Davidson, Avi Avital, the Bach Choir, and Stephen Morris.
