Sir John Eliot Gardiner ver&ouml;ffentlicht sein neues Album, auf dem er Liveaufnahmen von Brahms&rsquo; vier Symphonien pr&auml;sentiert, die er mit dem Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra zwischen 2021 und 2023 in Amsterdam eingespielt hat.&nbsp;
Gemeinsam erkundigen sie seine Werke in enormer Tiefe und bringen dabei nicht nur deren Vielfalt, sondern auch ihre enge Verbindung zur Choralmusik des Komponisten zum Vorschein. Ihre Lesungen wurden weithin f&uuml;r ihre St&auml;rke und Strahlkraft gelobt.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Bereits vor fast 20 Jahren nahm Gardiner die Brahms-Symphonien schon einmal auf &ndash; damals mit dem Orchestre R&eacute;volutionnaire et Romantique auf historischen Instrumenten. &ldquo;Ich hatte das Bedürfnis, an dieses erste fruchtbare Erlebnis anzuknüpfen&rdquo;, erkl&auml;rt er. &ldquo;Ich wollte die Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen daraus auf die Arbeit mit einem modernen Orchester von Weltruf übertragen, um auf diese Weise zu einer frischen Synthese der Stile und Interpretationsweisen zu gelangen.&rdquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Das gesamte Album erscheint digital und auf CD. As one of the most outstanding Bach interpreters, Sir John Eliot Gardiner has played a decisive role in the popularity of Bach's works today. As early as 1987, Gardiner was praised and celebrated by critics for his first recording of the Christmas Oratorio. Over 35 years after this legendary first recording, Gardiner and the ensembles he founded, the Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists, release their album featuring a new reading of the masterpiece, recorded at St. Martin in the Fields in London on two evenings in December 2022. &nbsp;
The iconic work is divided into six cantatas, each based on a different biblical scene. &ldquo;The range of his art, his imagination, and his creative response to different stimuli, is apparently endless. Although nearly 300 years have now passed since it was first heard, Bach&rsquo;s work remains irresistible in its energy and inspiration,&rdquo; says Gardiner.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
The album is released digitally, on CD and as a Blu-ray Disc with an additional booklet, in time to perfectly ring in the Christmas season.&nbsp;
