Album insights
The Labèque Sisters have returned with a new album entirely dedicated to American composer and founding member of the rock band "The National," Bryce Dessner. Following in the footsteps of minimalist composers such as Phil Glass, John Adams, and Steve Reich, Dessner composed the Concerto for two Pianos specifically for the two sisters. Recorded at the Philharmonie de Paris, the piece was performed with the Orchestre de Paris conducted by Matthias Pintscher. The album also features the works "El Chan" for two pianos and "Haven" for two guitars and two pianos.
