Max Richter - Recomposing Vivaldi

Much more than a recomposition, Max Richter's reworking of Vivaldi's Four Seasons is a revival, a reinvigoration and a reincarnation. Exploring each season through a new lens, while never losing the affection he has for the piece, Richter draws out the heart of each of the well-known movements and gives it new life, bridging the Baroque era with the 21st century and reinstating the rockstar showmanship of Vivaldi. This documentary gives insights into the background of one of the most recorded and most famous works of classical music as well telling the story of how the Recomposed project came to be – through numerous perspectives, including those of soloist Daniel Hope and the composer himself.
