Thielemann conducts Lohengrin – with Anna Netrebko & Piotr Beczała
Semperoper, Dresden

Christian Thielemann is on the podium of the Semperoper in Dresden for a very special performance of Lohengrin, featuring two global singing stars not immediately associated with Wagner. Polish tenor Piotr Beczała and Russian soprano Anna Netrebko both make their Wagner debuts, singing Lohengrin and Elsa. A superb line-up of seasoned Wagnerians – including Georg Zeppenfeld, Tomasz Konieczny and Evelyn Herlitzius – completes the cast for this stellar revival of Christine Mielitz's classic 1983 production.
