Album insights
In collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon, Giants Are Small has transformed Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" into a 21st-century masterpiece titled "Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood." This musical fairy tale, turning 80 next year, undergoes a radical upgrade, relocating the 1936 Russian tale to modern-day California. Alongside its release as an album, the rendition also launches as an interactive app for children on iTunes. Adding a rock twist to the iconic classic, renowned rockstars Campino and Alice Cooper narrate the new version in German and English respectively. Joining a lineup of esteemed narrators like Sting, David Bowie, Sean Connery, Christopher Lee, and others, the revamped album features the Bundesjugendorchester, under the baton of conductor Alexander Shelley, recorded by Deutsche Grammophon.
