Album insights
This album has the potential to become one of the surprises of the year! Thanks to its intriguing concept and the presence of one of the most exciting young talents on the international conducting scene, Maestro Pablo Heras-Casado. It aims to highlight Farinelli's roles as an impresario and his significant influence on Spanish music. Representing the soothing balm that the singer Farinelli used to alleviate the sufferings of the Spanish king, Porpora's aria "Alto Giove," sung here by countertenor Bejun Mehta, was among the pieces performed during those musical evenings.
