In her fifth recording for Deutsche Grammophon, Lisa Batiashvili dedicates herself to the works of Sergey Prokofiev. Released on February 2, 2018, the album 'Visions of Prokofiev' bridges the gap between classical and popular music of the early 20th century. With the Chamber Orchestra of Europe under Yannick Nézet-Séguin, she masterfully interprets the composer's two violin concertos. The recording is complemented by orchestral pieces from Prokofiev's ballets, arranged by Tamás Batiashvili for solo violin and orchestra. Thanks to her unique talent for transforming standard repertoire into something new, fresh, and elegant, this album allows listeners to rediscover Prokofiev through Lisa's eyes.
