Carlos Kleiber
In the coming weeks, to mark the 20th anniversary of Carlos Kleiber's death on July 13, three of his complete operas – Verdi's "La Traviata," Weber's "Der Freischütz," and Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde" – will be released for the first time in Dolby Atmos, beginning today with "La Traviata." In addition, on July 12, we will release a new edition containing all of Kleiber's recordings for the label: The 14-disc set includes 12 CDs and 2 Blu-ray Audio discs. Although Kleiber's recordings for Deutsche Grammophon are rare, they remain among the highlights of our archive.
