Strohl: Solitude

Recording on our partner label CAvi Music, Austrian cellist Marilies Guschlbauer and German pianist Julia Rinderle announce their upcoming album, on which they perform works by six “Grandes Dames”: Clara Schumann, Fanny Hensel, Lera Auerbach, Amy Beach, Flora Geisselbrecht, and Rita Strohl. The duo first started collaborating in Berlin in the fall of 2020 and have been performing regular recitals ever since in Germany and abroad. Both musicians are particularly committed to unearthing, exploring, and performing works by female composers; thus, they often perform rare works in concert.
