Aboutharmonia mundi

Founded in 1958, harmonia mundi is one of the world’s most prestigious classical music labels. True to the pioneering spirit of its founder Bernard Coutaz, it has established itself as a leading force in historically informed performance, while embracing every repertoire from early music to contemporary creation. Now part of Universal Music Group, the label is based in Arles and active internationally. It has worked with many of the greatest artists – from Alfred Deller to William Christie, from René Jacobs to Isabelle Faust – while also supporting the new generation through its harmonia#nova collection. Repeatedly named “Label of the Year” and most recently honoured with the 2025 Gramophone Recording of the Year for Pygmalion and Raphaël Pichon’s Bach Mass in B minor, harmonia mundi continues to champion a demanding yet open-minded vision of music, bridging heritage and innovation.
