Very few living composers speak more widely (or deeply) than Arvo Pärt, and in his 90th-birthday year the musical world has been rediscovering – and celebrating – a composer who believes that "the instant and the eternal are struggling within us". Since its foundation in 1981, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir has been synonymous with Pärt's music, developing a performance tradition guided and endorsed by Pärt himself, and in April 2025, under the direction of their founder-conductor Tõnu Kaljuste, they celebrated his life and work in this powerful all-Pärt programme filmed in Paris's Philharmonie. Music of today, and of eternity, performed with unsurpassed beauty and authority.
