Friedrich Gulda & The Paradise Trio at His Paradise Dance Party

"There can be no guarantee that I will become a great jazz musician, but at least I shall know that I am doing the right thing," said Friedrich Gulda when asked about his passion for jazz. At the Munich Klaviersommer – the boundary-breaking festival he founded – he could give that spirit full rein. This 1995 set with the Paradise Trio shows him moving freely between styles in the company of close musical allies. And after the concert, Gulda returns for a late-night techno session with DJ Vertigo and the Trio, folding club energy into the festival’s adventurous mix.
