Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition: Chloe Jiyeong Mun

On her way to the First Prize at the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in 2015, Chloe Jiyeong Mun impressed the distinguished jury with performances of some of the most demanding and exacting piano works in the repertoire; "I have rediscovered in her the naturalness of musicality that I thought had disappeared," noted jury president Jörg Demus at the time. This selection of highlights features her accounts of Chopin's sparkling Andante spianato et Grande polonaise brillante and one of Haydn's best-known piano sonatas from the solo rounds, as well as her account, in the Grand Finale, of Beethoven's poetic Piano Concerto No. 4.
