For many, Karl Böhm was the epitome of a very special sort of Austrian music-making in the second half of the 20th-century, a conductor who lived and breathed the music of Mozart, in particular, like few others. Much the same thing could be said of the Wiener Philharmoniker, meaning that this programme – featuring Mozart's brilliant "Linz" Symphony and the ever-popular "Eine kleine Nachtmusik", alongside the Serenata notturna, K. 239 and the Minuet, K. 409 – offers a very special sort of treat, filmed in the wonderful, storied surroundings of the Musikverein
