Album insights
Considered one of classical music's most intriguing artists, Hilary Hahn effortlessly blurs traditional and neo-classical boundaries. She merges genres and collaborates with artists from diverse fields, showcasing her virtuosity. In a new retrospective album, Hahn reflects on her extensive work with Deutsche Grammophon, celebrating it alongside her fans. Their involvement was crucial, influencing aspects like the cover design. This collection combines past album materials with 30 minutes of previously unreleased live recordings of Mozart's Violin Sonata KV 379. Additionally, it features three new recordings of titles from a previous release, "Encores." Notably, the vinyl release stands out: one of the LPs was recorded using the legendary direct-to-disc technique, ensuring an authentic immediacy. Hahn became the first DG artist to adopt this method since the end of the shellac era.
