Double Sens
Following his acclaimed Beethoven recording, Nemanja Radulović returns this fall with an impressive J.S. Bach album. The Serbian-French violinist presents familiar pieces in a completely new light, including a brilliant interpretation of the famous Badinerie and a masterful transcription of the Sicilienne. A particular highlight is "Erbarme Dich" from the St. Matthew Passion, performed with Philippe Jaroussky. The program also includes the Double Concerto for Oboe and Violin, BWV 1060, the Violin Concerto in E major, BWV 1042, and other works. Radulović will be accompanied by the ensemble Double Sens, with whom he also plans to perform, including at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées with oboist Sébastien Giot. His personal, chamber music-like approach lends Bach's music a special brilliance and vibrancy. With his unique energy, virtuoso playing technique, and expressive interpretation, Radulović once again demonstrates his extraordinary talent for captivatingly reviving classical masterpieces.
