Pianist Bruce Liu releases his second album titled "The Seasons" under DG. Following the massive success of his debut album "Waves," a tribute to French composers and nature, Liu now shifts his focus to Tchaikovsky's intimate yet expressive solo piano music. Reflecting on the album, Liu described the recording process as a moment of exploring his emotions. The album captures the intimate and deeply poetic language of the Russian composer. Liu added that it felt like Tchaikovsky was conversing with himself as he composed the pieces, blending folk influences from his ballets with the brilliance of his concertos, yet maintaining a contemplative and serene undertone at its core. The album, available digitally, on CD, and vinyl, features a video for the track "October." The CD version includes the bonus track "Romance in F Minor, Op. 5." Furthermore, a deluxe CD edition containing five additional solo works by Tchaikovsky will be released as an exclusive limited signed edition in the DG shop.
