Krystian Zimerman
The most celebrated recordings of Polish piano virtuoso Krystian Zimerman, born in Zabrze in 1956, are being released in a special 180g Optimal Vinyl edition by Deutsche Grammophon to mark his 60th birthday. This exclusive collection includes Brahms's First Piano Concerto, both piano concertos by Frédéric Chopin, and the first two piano concertos by Rachmaninoff. All vinyl releases come with a digital download code. According to The Guardian, Zimerman, who won the prestigious Chopin Competition in 1975, is considered a pianist of our time who pays meticulous attention to every detail in his interpretations.
