As part of the Year of the Dragon 2024, Lang Lang is releasing an exclusive digital edition celebrating his Chinese roots. Titled "Year of the Dragon – Songs from China," the release brings together all of his Chinese works recorded to date. The extensive album features solo piano pieces as well as ensemble and orchestral recordings, with Lang Lang accompanied by internationally renowned artists. Among the performers are tenor Andrea Bocelli, soprano Lei Jia, the China Philharmonic Orchestra under Long Yu, the Shanghai Opera House Choir, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Tan Dun, and the Prague Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexandre Desplat. The album comprises 50 tracks, including the original album "Dragon Songs," Tan Dun's "Eight Memories in Watercolour," the "Yellow River Concerto," "River Waltz," and popular works from the "Piano Book." Two new pieces are also included: "Snowflakes" and "Moon is Bright Lullaby."
