Newport Jazz Festival All-Stars

Two great festivals; one incredible night! Since 1954 the Newport Jazz Festival has brought the biggest names in jazz together and simply let the magic happen. The same spirit – a meeting of musical minds and styles - inspired the Munich Klaviersommer, and in 1991 Newport's presiding genius George Wein brought the Festival's All Stars to Germany to see what would happen. This joyful, easygoing set is the result. The All-Stars were resurgent in the early 1990s and the Munich line up included Warren Vaché on trumpet, Lew Tabackin on Sax and Wein himself at the keyboard. Come on, get happy!
