Album insights

Celebrating the 150th birthday of the pioneer of musical modernity, we are thrilled to announce our collaboration with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and maestro Fabio Luisi to embark on recording the most extensive collection of Schönberg's orchestral works ever produced. Spanning over ten hours of music, this project will unfold gradually until the end of the decade. The recordings provide a unique opportunity to rediscover the captivating composer in a holistic light, resonating more profoundly with us and enriching our musical experiences. Kicking off the series is the enchanting symphonic poem "Verklärte Nacht" by Schönberg, in his 1943 revised orchestral version of the work. This composition, inspired by a poem from Richard Dehmel, depicts a loving couple amid a bright moonlit night, expressing devotion, confusion, and deep understanding. The digital release of the album is set for September 13, 2024, the composer's birthday, featuring artwork based on Schönberg's own paintings, a motif that will continue throughout the series.
