Celebrating 30 years of the New Century Chamber Orchestra, Daniel Hope releases a new album titled "Music For A New Century." Daniel Hope emphasizes the orchestra's commitment to creative engagement with new compositions and celebrates their collaborative spirit with this unique combination of works. The album features four pieces, including Philip Glass's Third Piano Concerto premiered in 2017 and the world premiere recordings of Mark-Anthony Turnage's Lament for solo violin and strings, Tan Dun's Double Concerto for violin, piano, and strings, and a new anniversary composition by Jake Heggie. Ukrainian pianist Alexey Botvinov joins as the piano soloist, showcasing a wide range of musical ideas and styles across these remarkable works.
