Claudio Abbado
The compositions of the Salzburg master will be presented in several recordings under Claudio Abbado in the autumn of 2011. In October, the focus will be on Symphonies Nos. 39 and 40. These will be followed in November by the Concertos for Horn, Flute, and Harp, as well as the Sinfonia Concertante. All of these impressive recordings were made with the Orchestra Mozart, which Abbado founded. The British music press has described them as 'the best Mozart interpretations ever heard' (Grammophone Awards Issue). Claudio Abbado occupies a prominent place among the leading Mozart conductors of our time.
