Hania & Dobrawa: Inner Symphonies
Live from Kraków, 2021
The young Polish musicians Hania Rani and Dobrawa Czocher invited you into a bewitching world of sound with their jointly composed work Inner Symphonies, which they have recorded for Deutsche Grammophon and perform here at the tradition-rich Słowacki Theater in Krakow. Synthesizer sounds combine magically with the sounds of Rani on the piano and Czocher on the cello. The two artists, close friends since school, offer a message of hope with music written in the time of the pandemic. Inner Symphonies ends with the title "Spring." After all, Rani's grandmother used to say during hard times, "Spring will come, that's for sure."
- Mateusz Błaszczak (Cello), Paweł Czarny (Viola), Dobrawa Czocher (Cello), Kornelia Grądzka (Violin), Ziemowit Klimek (Double Bass), Hania Rani (Piano)
