The Siemens Arts Program provides a creative platform for company projects in the arts and culture, focusing on the visual arts, music, and cultural education. Classical music has featured prominently since the program's inception, committed to supporting productions that feature contemporary forms of musical expression, initiating dance performances and sound experiments, as well as musical productions and classical concerts. The activities aim to nurture the next generation of creative talent around the world through competitions for aspiring artists (e.g. Siemens Opera Contest) and by forging links between new talents and established international cultural institutions (Carnegie Hall New York, Opera Garnier Paris, Bavarian State Opera, Salzburg Festival). Making art accessible for people was one of Ernst von Siemens’ biggest aspirations. As a partner and main supporter of STAGE+, the relationship recalls the historic role played by Siemens as owner and then significant shareholder of the Yellow Label, from 1941 to 1987. The Siemens Arts Program is looking for new developments in recording technology and film, interested in finding a new visual language for online concerts. The partnership offers longform concerts to a global audience, as well as world premiere presentations and performances, featuring everyone from the superstars signed to Deutsche Grammophon to up-and-coming young musicians, as well as guest artists involved in outstanding individual projects.
