If I were a bell I'd be ringing … By 1993, Keith Jarrett's Standards Trio had been playing together for a decade – ten years that saw them redefine attitudes to the Great American Songbook and spearhead a global revival of acoustic jazz. This live set from Tokyo's Open Theater East finds them in celebratory mood in a lively open-air concert that features the classic Standards line-up – Gary Peacock on bass plus Jack DeJohnette on drums – playing Dave Brubeck, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis and Jarrett's own original compositions, as well as (naturally) standards by Jule Styne, Frank Loesser and Jimmy Van Heusen.
- Soloists:
- Keith Jarrett (Harpsichord), Gary Peacock (Double Bass), Jack De Johnette (Drums)
