Celebrating the Year of the Dragon in 2024, pianist Lang Lang honors his Chinese heritage by releasing a special digital edition featuring all of his previous recordings of Chinese works. Titled "Year of the Dragon – Songs from China," the album comprises a variety of solo piano pieces, ensemble works, and orchestral pieces featuring collaborations with renowned artists like tenor Andrea Bocelli, soprano Lei Jia, the Chinese Philharmonic, Long Yu, the Shanghai Opera House Chorus, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Tan Dun, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, and Alexandre Desplat. Consisting of 50 tracks, the album includes selections from the original Dragon Songs Album, Tan Dun's "Eight Memories in Watercolour," the "Yellow River Concerto," "River Waltz," and popular pieces from the "Piano Book." In addition, the album features two new recordings - "Snowflakes" and "Moon is Bright Lullaby."
