The young Dijon-born, Paris-based percussionist Adélaïde Ferrière joins the Rising Stars series on STAGE+ with a showcase demonstrating why she's one of the most exciting advocates of her art on the music scene today. She is joined by pianist Sarah Tysman to present Baroque masterpieces by Vivaldi and Bach alongside Saint-Saëns's beguiling Danse Macabre, all performed in imaginative Marimba and piano arrangements, and concludes with a 20th-century tour de force: Iannis Xenakis's Rebonds. Between the performances, she introduces herself and what drives her as an artist in a relaxed on-location interview.
