Iranian-Canadian countertenor Cameron Shahbazi is among the most exciting rising stars of the opera world, a singer who has been praised for his "full, voluminous" voice and has achieved critical acclaim for his performances across the musical spectrum, from Baroque to contemporary and 20th-century repertoire. As part of the Rising Star series on STAGE+, he presents RE|imagine, a programme featuring a personal selection of some of the music that means the most to him, ranging from Italian Baroque opera to reimagined folk music and Iranian popular song.
