Already hailed in the international music press and with three years as a BBC New Generation Artist under her belt, German pianist Elisabeth Brauß joins our Rising Stars series on STAGE+ with this showcase. She presents a programme mixing Mozart's melancholy Rondo K. 511 – completed shortly before the composer began work on Don Giovanni – with Brahms's exquisite late Piano Pieces Op. 119. For the final work, she chooses a rarity: Hindemith's In einer Nacht… of 1919, a 13-movement suite demonstrating the young composer's astonishing stylistic range and ear for texture.
