Since the 2016 Wieniawski Competition, South Korean violinist Bomsori has maintained strong links with Poland and Polish musicians. In this theatre-themed concert with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Giancarlo Guerrero, she interprets some of the most demanding pieces in her repertoire, two of which are based on operas: Henryk Wieniawski's fantasy with themes from Gounod's Faust; and film composer Franz Waxman's fantasy on melodies from Bizet's Carmen. Celebrated for her full tone and expressiveness, Bomsori maintains her poised composure, even in the face of breakneck technical difficulties.
