Menahem Pressler

The first release on our joint label, Verbier Festival Gold, for 2025 features a live performance by pianist Menahem Pressler, performing works by Chopin, Debussy, and Schubert. Pressler, who until his death in May 2023 was considered the world's oldest performing pianist, spent ten consecutive summers at the Verbier Festival after the Beaux Arts Trio disbanded in 2008. There, he captivated audiences as an inspiring figure and mentored young artists. His extraordinary grace reflects his profound passion for music and life. Pressler believed that true treasures in life can be found through genuine love—a message that resonates in every note he played. His piano playing, which remained breathtakingly beautiful even in his later years, testifies to his lifelong devotion to music.
