Album insights

A year ago, Seong-Jin Cho emerged victorious at the prestigious international Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, joining the ranks of renowned pianists at Deutsche Grammophon like Martha Argerich, Maurizio Pollini, Rafal Blechacz, Yundi, and others. His album released right after the competition win became the best-selling classical album globally in 2015, achieving triple Platinum status in Korea within a week and reaching the top spot on the Pop charts solely through pre-orders, while also securing Gold status in Poland. This initial studio recording by the young Korean musician includes Chopin's first piano concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, along with Chopin's 4 Ballads. Recently, 250,000 viewers tuned in to a live-stream of the Berlin Yellow Lounge, broadcasted through the Facebook profile of the World/N24 Group. Cho is set for an extensive tour in the spring of 2017.
