The recording, which draws from various printed anthologies of works by Monteverdi and his contemporaries, was released on October 28, 2022, by Deutsche Grammophon and presents the kind of Vespers that might have been heard during the long tenure of the 'divine Claudio' as Kapellmeister at St. Mark's Basilica.
