Mozart.
While working on various stage roles, Villazón came across a neglected edition of Mozart's concert arias for tenor in a Munich music shop. The rarely performed pieces immediately piqued his interest. Fascinated by this discovery, he decided to use these works as the basis for his next recording project. Together with the London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sir Antonio Pappano, he compiled ten arias that reflect Mozart's entire creative period. The selection encompasses a wide range of emotions – from comedy and joy to tragedy and passion.[4][5]
