Starting her career at Deutsche Grammophon in 2019, Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla showcased an album dedicated to Mieczysław Weinberg's Symphony No. 2 and 21, marking the centennial celebration of the overlooked composer. This album was hailed as Recording of the Year by Gramophone, earning Gražinytė-Tyla the prestigious Opus Klassik Conductor of the Year award. Continuing her mission to bring greater recognition to Weinberg's music, she now presents Weinberg: Symphonies Nos. 3 & 7 and Flute Concerto No. 1. With the backing of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and soloist Kirill Gerstein for Symphony No. 7, and flutist Marie-Christine Zupancic for the Flute Concerto, along with Symphony No. 3 performed by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Gražinytė-Tyla's work carries forward the legacy of this Warsaw-born composer.
