Double Sens. Why should a contemporary musician record an album of well-known Romantic works such as Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto or the Variations on a Rococo Theme?

For Nemanja Radulovic, one thing is certain: a new recording demands an individual, personal approach to the work. For this reason, he selected Tchaikovsky's most important compositions for strings and orchestra and released them together on a single album. Radulovic recorded the Rococo Variations, which evoke childhood memories for him, on the viola, accompanied by his ensemble Double Sens. The combination of viola and small ensemble lends the piece a special lightness and dynamism that perfectly suits the neoclassical character of Tchaikovsky's music. In the Violin Concerto, Radulovic tackles one of the most technically demanding works in the violin repertoire. He experiments with shifts in mood and, towards the end of the first movement, alters individual phrasings to emphasize the piece's sustained freshness, from its sharpest to its gentlest timbres. Nemanja Radulovic was awarded the ECHO Klassik prize in 2015 for his artistic achievements.

For his artistic achievements, he was honored with the ECHO Klassik award.
