With 'The Christmas Album,' the Berlin Philharmonic presents an exquisite collection of festive music. The renowned orchestra and its celebrated brass ensemble perform both classical and baroque works by Bach and Mozart—including the well-known 'Great Lord, O Mighty King' from Bach's Christmas Oratorio—as well as traditional Christmas carols such as 'Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming' and 'Still, Because the Little Child Will Sleep.' The program is complemented by romantic rarities, such as Julius Klengel's Hymn for 12 Cellos.
