The outstanding Polish pianist Krystian Zimerman presents a new solo album for Deutsche Grammophon after a 25-year hiatus. With his new recording of Franz Schubert's romantic piano sonatas D.959 and D.960, which the composer created shortly before his untimely death at the age of 31, he delves deeply into the world of Romantic music. The recordings were made at the Kashiwazaki City Performing Arts Centre in Japan and will undoubtedly occupy a special place among the most important Schubert interpretations.
