Avi Avital – Between Worlds: Iberia

Avi Avital presents the first of three concerts from the Pierre Boulez Saal in which he and his Between Worlds Ensemble – founded in 2014 to bring together classically trained musicians equally at home in non-classical repertoire – explore folk traditions on the edges of Europe. In this concert, captured live in November 2022, they are joined by Marina Heredia, one of the leading voices in contemporary Flamenco, as well as musicians José Quevedo "Bolita" and Paquito Gonzalez for a programme exploring music from the Iberian peninsula.
